If you have any questions that have not been answered here, please feel free to contact us with your questions. Thanks! What drill software do we use? All of our designers use Pyware Java. How long does it take to receive the drill? It will typically take up to 3 weeks for any single tune, but there is always a chance it can be done sooner. Please note that providing proper scores (wind and percussion), notes in show design and numbers all help make the designing process smoother and easier for the writers. What do the drill charts look like? We can provide a number of options to accomodate you and your band's needs. We can custom design the drill to print out a number of ways using a variety of symbols, numbers and even colors. We can add/move hashes and even include yardline numbers on the field. The default layout is as shown below using a field grid with yardline markers off the field, black dots to represent the winds and percussion and circles for the colorguard. Can we provide a smaller set of charts for the directors/students? The thumbnails look small. Is there any way to make them larger or to fit only 2 or 4 to a page? What do the drill cards/coordinate sheets look like? What if you need a rewrite because of member(s) dropping out? We do not do drill re-writes if members drop out. In the event that this happened prior to writing of one of the other tunes in the show, the show can be continued with the adjusted numbers. What if you need a drill re-write because it is too difficult to perform? It is our goal to provide drill for your band that is adequate for your skill level and what you request. We will not write at a higher level than what is asked of us. Can we add performers throughout the show if needed? Yes. We can add performers as a show progresses, in the event that you have alternates that you would like to include later on in the show production. Can we change the layout of the Coordinate Cards to read different hash references, etc? Yes. The Pyware Java software allows us to be able to change the names of the hashes (default "Front" and "Back") to names like "Visitor" and "Home", or whatever else you might like us to change it to. The side-to-side names can be changed as well. We use a default setting of "Side 1" and "Side 2" but that can be changed to "Side A/B" or "Left/Right". Whatever you would like it to be. Can the coordinates on the Coordinate Cards be set to different resolutions? Yes. The default setting (and recommended) is set to 1/4 step resolution, whereas you will see coordinates that resolve to the closes 1/4-step. It can also be set to resolve to the nearest whole-step, 1/2-step and 1/8-step. Do you have to provide your own production notes or can Visaudio Designs do that for you? Our Visaudio designers are experienced and qualified enough to provide any notes you need. We offer ALL services that involve production note compiling, wind arranging/composing, percussion writing, and colorguard design. What are the chances that one of our designers can come out and work with your band? Visaudio Designs also provides support in the areas of consulting and teaching. We are happy to make arrangements to provide on-site help for you and your band with by request. Please contact us for more information. |
